Cardinal’s wine is a prestigious wine especially popular among wine collectors. The wine was made to celebrate the appointment of a Slovenian Franc Rode as a Cardinal in 2006.

Cardinal’s wine is elegant, noble, fresh and full. The wine is produced from the best grapes from our most prestigeous wine growing regions.

There are only 2006 bottles produced. The wine with a serial number 0001 was delivered to Cardinal Franc Rode on the 24. 03. 2007 when a delegation of Wine Cellar Bistrica visited Franc Cardinal Rode in his private quarters in Vatican.

A precentage of profits from this wine goes to charitable causes. Cardinal’s wish was that the money should go to missionary Pedro Opeka to help him built a Slovenian village on Madagascar.

Due to exceptional quality of the wine and small number of bottles produced the wine is very popular among collectors. The wine is almost sold out, there are only a few bottles left.
